This is a pattern of my own concoction; it came right out of my fly box for this article. It’s nothing complicated, and it does catch fish. The marabou tail and soft hackle fibers give the fly terrific swimming action. Look for Stretch Tubing in your local fly shop. This product is easy to use and creates lovely segmented bodies. Oh, the name of the fly? GLS stands for my home waters of Grand Lake Stream; this pattern slays the resident landlocked salmon in late May and early June.
