Thread: White 6/0 (140 denier) and clear monofilament.
Weight: 3/16-inch silver cone.
Head: White bucktail and yellow Mirage Flashabou.
Eyes: Large dome eyes glued to two strands of 40-pound-test monofilament.
Tentacles: White saddle hackles.
Body: Pearl gold, pink, and light brown Angel Hair; 3/8-inch-diameter E-Z Body tubing; a crosscut bunny
strip; and ivory and tan Poly Bear. (Okay, that’s a lot of stuff. The tubing and rabbit strip are essential,
but you may use fewer colors of the other materials and still tie a nice fish-catching squid. —Editor)
