Hook: Tiemco 531, size 12, or Tiemco 102Y, size 13.
Thread: Black 6/0 (140 denier).
Abdomen: 3⁄16-inch-thick laminated foam plug containing three black and two tan alternating pieces of foam.
Thorax/head: 3⁄16-inch-thick laminated foam plug containing four black pieces of foam sandwiched between one tan and one yellow sheet of foam.
Hackle: A well-marked neck feather from a ring-necked cock pheasant. You may substitute with a grouse or partridge feather.
Wing: Dark brown polypropylene yarn.
