Thread: Tie the fly with white 6/0 (140 denier); complete the fly using the
white thread, or switch to red 8/0 (70 denier).
Loop: Silk gut.
Tag: Oval silver tinsel and claret floss.
Tail: Married claret and white goose under Temminick’s tragopan tail feather.
Butt: Red Berlin wool.
Rib: Claret floss and silver oval tinsel.
Body: Light green silk floss.
Wing: Feathers from Temminick’s tragopan, Mearn’s quail, long-tailed
broadbill, and orange weaver.
Throat: Guinea fowl dyed purple.
Head: Red Berlin wool.
