Thread: 8/0 Gudebrod (70 denier).
Shuck: Midge Diamond Braid to match the color of the body.
Abdomen: Olive, gray, tan, or pheasant-tail Micro Tubing.
Underwing: Pearl rainbow Krystal Flash.
Wing: Elk hair.
Wing post: The butt end of the elk hair used to tie the wing, clipped short.
Thorax: Olive, gray, or tan dubbing.
Hackle: Grizzly or a color to match the body.
Antennae: Two elk hair fibers pulled forward prior to trimming the wing post.
