Hook: Tiemco 8089, sizes 12 to 2, or Mustad Signature CK52S, sizes 6 to 1/0.
Thread: Size 8/0 (70 denier).
Body: PVC foam painted with Loon Outdoors Hard Head.
Eyes: Large adhesive eyes covered with black permanent marker.
Abdomen: Braided cord.
Wings: 20-pound-test clear monofilament.

Tying note: Real dragonflies come in a range of colors, and the author makes a variety of Drag-N-Flies to match. Select thread to match the color of the finished foam body. The abdomen is made of braided cord purchased at a craft store; select a color to match the finished foam body.
