Hook: 8X-long John Willis hook, circa the 1940s.
The limited edition Rangeley Sesquicentennials are dressed on hooks that are at least 50 years old. You can substitute with the Gaelic Supreme Mike Martinek Rangeley Streamer hooks or the Heritage Allcock streamer hooks.
Thread: Black 8/0 (70 denier).
Tag: French silver tinsel.
Body: An underwrap of white silk floss followed by burnt orange Japanese silk floss.
Rib: French silver tinsel.
Belly: Peacock herl, bright orange bucktail, and purple bucktail. Blend together the two bunches of bucktail.
Underwing: Golden pheasant crest.
Wing: Four purple hackles flanked on each side by a shorter orange hackle.
Shoulder: Turquoise peacock breast feather.
Eyes: Jungle cock.
Throat: Orange hackle fibers.
