Turck’s Tarantula

Hook: Standard dry-fly hook, sizes 14 to 6.
Thread: Black or tan 6/0 (140 denier).
Tail: Lady Amherst pheasant or golden pheasant tippets
Body: Hare’s-ear dubbing or similar your favorite body material.
Rib: Fine gold wire or a furnace hackle clipped short.
Wing: White calftail with either an underwing or over wing of pearl Krystal Flash.
Legs: White rubber legs.
Collar and head: Deer hair, spun and clipped to shape.
