West Branch Caddis

Hook: Standard dry-fly hook, sizes 14 to 10.
Thread: Brown 6/0 (140 denier).
Trailing shuck: Antron to match the color of the natural insects.
Abdomen: Hare’s-ear dubbing, color to match the natural insect.
Rib: Pearl or olive Krystal Flash.
Thorax: Peacock herl.
Underwing: Gray or olive natural cul de canard.
Wing: White-tipped breast feather of a male mallard or wood duck.
Hackle: Sparse brown, furnace, or grizzly for an emerger; brown or mixed grizzly and brown tied full for a dry fly.
