Hook: 2X- or 3X-long saltwater hook, size 3/0.
Thread: Red 3/0 (280 denier).
Tail: Pearl Flashabou, pearl Angel Hair, and pearl Krystal Flash.
Collar: The fluffy base of a white schlappen feather.
Body: Large pearl Crystal Chenille.
Hackle: The remainder of the schlappen feather.
Eyes: Small lead dumbbell.
Weed guard: 16-pound-test hard monofilament.
Note: The smaller dumbbell eyes make this a great fly for fishing in two to three feet of water.
    You may substitute the Angel Hair with a similar brand of wispy, bright hair material.
