Hook: Mustad 94840, Daiichi 1180, or an equivalent,
    size 14 or 12.
Thread: White 8/0 (70 denier) for tying the tail,
    body, and wing; switch to black 8/0 (70 denier)
    for finishing the fly.
Tail: Medium dun hackle fibers.
Body: Stripped peacock herl.
Wing: Wood duck or mandarin duck flank feather.
Hackle: Two medium or dark dun hackles. Select
    feathers of slightly different shades.
