Smith Pond Squaretail

Thread: Black 8/0 (70 denier).
Hook: 4X- or 6X-long streamer hook, your choice of size.
Tail: White kiptail and golden pheasant.
Body: Black and white chenille.
Throat: Golden pheasant tippet.
Wing: Bronze mallard and brown saddle hackles on the sides.
A bit of history: Smith Pond is located just northwest of
    Hillsborough, New Hampshire. It was a popular trolling
    destination for Monadnock fishermen in the 1960s and 1970s.
