Thread: Black or olive 3/0.
Tail: Deer-hair tips.
Abdomen: Olive seal’s fur dubbing (or a substitute such as Angora-goat dubbing).
Rib: Round gold tinsel.
Thorax: Olive seal’s fur dubbing (or a substitute such as Angora-goat dubbing).
Legs: Pheasant-tail fibers, knotted to form the leg joints.
Wing case: Pheasant-tail fibers.
Eyes: Pheasant-tail fibers, cut blunt to form the eyes.
