Hook: Heavy-wire nymph hook, sizes 18 to 10.
Head: A white metal or white glass bead.
Thread: Black 8/0 or 6/0.
Body: Super Floss in any color to match a chironomid: black, brown, red, tan, green, or cream.
Rib: Fine red wire.
Thorax: Black thread, covering the back half of the bead.
