Daredevil Crease Fly

Hook: 4X-long stainless-steel hook for saltwater applications, or a standard 4X-long hook for fishing fresh water, sizes 4 to 3/0.
Thread: Size 3/0 or A (380 denier). The foam body covers the base of the tail and thread wraps, so the color doesn’t matter; use whatever is handy.
Tail: Bucktail, stiff synthetic hair that is less likely to foul around the hook, and strands of flash material. Gold, pearl, or silver Mylar tubing is a unique but very good tail material.
Body: 2-millimeter-thick plain closed-cell foam, Wild Wild Foam, or a similar foam product.
Plus: Permanent markers, E-Z Shape Sparkle Body, fabric paint, superglue, and epoxy or water-based polyurethane.
