Synthetic Bendback

Hook: Mustad 3407, sizes 4 to 2/0, bent slightly into
the Bendback position.
Thread: Chartreuse 6/0 (140 denier).
Belly and back: Your choice of brand and color of
synthetic wing materials with strands of Krystal
Flash, Flashabou, or Fire Fly.
Eyes: Small silver molded eyes.
Body and gills markings: Permanent marker.
Note: These flies hit the water very softly and are great
for casting to spooky fish in shallow water. Even the
large sizes are very easy to tie and cast. They look
great in the water and the fish readily take them. If
you need the fly to sink faster for fishing deep water,
wrap the hook shank with lead wire before tying
the body; cover the wire with either chenille or
tying thread.
