Electric Sushi

Hook: Gamakatsu SC-15 or equivalent, sizes 1 to 3/0.
Thread: White 6/0 (140 denier).
Belly: Pink Awesome Hair.
Back: Light green Awesome Hair.
Markings: Black permanent marker.
Eyes: Small silver molded eyes.
Gills: Red permanent marker.
Note: Massachusetts fly tier Mike Martinek showed
me how to make this fly. It’s a great seatrout pattern
in any size. My favorite color combinations are
chartreuse-and-white and chartreuse-and-pink. A
double-prong, hard monofilament weed guard is
helpful for fishing grassy areas. The Electric Sushi
sinks fairly slowly. The chartreuse color is very bright,
so it’s very easy to keep track of the fly’s position.
