Hooks: Front—Daiichi X510 or Tiemco 105, size 4 or 2. Rear—
Any straight-eye hook to give suitable length. size 4 or 2.
Thread: 6/0 (140 denier), olive.
Tail: Grizzly marabou or Australian opossum fur.
Body: Any olive, tan, brown, or cream coarse dubbing. Grizzly
marabou or Australian opossum tied in the middle of the body
and again at the eye of the rear hook.
Head: Grizzly marabou tied on each side, then ram’s wool or
Australian opossum wrapped on the hook and clipped to shape.
Eyes: Red plastic bead chain.
Note: You may cut off the bend and point of the rear hook. There
are no subtle strikes to this fly, and you will catch the fish on the
front hook.
