Rear hook: Regular nymph or dry-fly hook, size 14.
Front hook: Swimming nymph hook or a 3X- or 4Xstreamer hook bent to shape, size 14.
Thread: Olive or black 8/0 (70 denier).
Tail: Gray ostrich herl tips.
Rear abdomen: Olive marabou.
Body link: 5-pound-test monofilament.
Front abdomen: Olive marabou.
Wing case: Cock pheasant center tail fibers dyed olive.
Eyes: Cock pheasant center tail fibers dyed olive.
Head: Pale olive hare’s-ear dubbing.
Legs: Natural tan Japanese Nymph Legs. (You may substitute your favorite brand of narrow rubber legs.)
Thorax: Pale olive hare’s-ear dubbing.

This fly can also be used as a Bass Subsurface Fly.
