Hook: Light wire, 2X-long dry-fly hook, sizes 14 to 6.
Thread: Green 8/0 (70 denier) or 6/0 (140 denier).
Tail: Light elk hair.
Wing and body: Bands of green or dark green dry-fly dubbing in between bunches of light elk hair.
Hackle: Brown.
Head: The butt ends of the last bunch of elk hair.
