Fluffy Damsel

Hook: Heavy-wire, 1X-long nymph hook, sizes 14 to 10.
Thread: Olive or olive-brown 8/0 (70 denier) or 6/0 (140 denier), color to match the abdomen.
Abdomen: One tan, light olive, or dark olive marabou plume tip, trimmed narrow after it’s tied on the hook.
Legs: Olive hen neck or olive partridge hackle.
Thorax: Tan, olive, or dark olive rabbit dubbing. The color of the thorax should match the abdomen.
Eyes: Black Vernille.
Head and wing case: The butt end of the marabou feather forming the abdomen; trim off at least half the fibers, and leave the rest to fold back to form the head and wing case. Trim the top and side fibers to make a slender wing case.
